Multiple sessions: Hypnosis is especially helpful when combined with talk therapy. Your progress can be tracked, you have ongoing support, and anything new coming up can be addressed. Many people enjoy having recordings of the hypnosis session(s) so they can listen again and again for reinforcement. It takes at least 21-30 days of practice to develop new habits, even when using hypnotic suggestions to affirm them.

Likely yes: Generally, yes...If the root cause of the "problem" is addressed within the session. Sometimes an issue reoccurs because the issue has not been addressed/or you're in the same situation that causes the issue. Example, if you only smoke after a stressful day at work, you may want to use some stress mod and smoking cessation. Your hypnotherapist can eval your situation. Celebrate your success!
