Sarcoidosis treat..: If the sarcoidosis is active then treatment can and probably will prevent progression. While rare, people die of sarcoidosis and suffer significant disability that in many cases could have been prevented with earlier diagnosis and treatment. Look for someone with a lot of experience with sarcoidosis to get another opinion if you aren't sure.

Depends....: So with sarcoidosis, about a third of the patients get better and have resolution of symptoms. About a third stay the same as they are at time of diagnosis and the other third tens to get worse. No way to know what group you'll be in. If you're symptomatic, you should be on treatment.
