Can not comment: We can not comment without knowing details of your condition.Sarcoidosis can be asymptomatic to affecting one or more bodily organs. If your doctors have prescribed the meds, and you did not say what meds have been prescribed by not following your doctors treatment you are taking a big risk and it can do serious damage to your body so talk to your doctors and follow their advice.

It gets worse: Sarcoidosis is a condition which leads to your immune system affects lung tissue, causing progressive lung dysfunction. Treatment for this condition usually involves steroids, which are begun for worsening symptoms. Not taking your medication means progression of disease.

Sarcoidosis treat..: If the sarcoidosis is active then treatment can and probably will prevent progression. While rare, people die of sarcoidosis and suffer significant disability that in many cases could have been prevented with earlier diagnosis and treatment. Look for someone with a lot of experience with sarcoidosis to get another opinion if you aren't sure.

Depends....: So with sarcoidosis, about a third of the patients get better and have resolution of symptoms. About a third stay the same as they are at time of diagnosis and the other third tens to get worse. No way to know what group you'll be in. If you're symptomatic, you should be on treatment.
