Adjuvant: I assume you are talking about breast cancer. Patient need to be closely followed every 3-4 months initially and then biannually with physician and imaging studies as appropriate

Oncologist: Adjuvant therapy could be radiation after surgery or chemotherapy after radiation or surgery. After adjuvant therapy the oncologist may outline a maintenance program of chemotherapy or just watchful waiting and monitoring. The oncologist is the quarterback of the treating team.
