The sedation may be associated with side effects within the first 48 hours. The other possible cause is an infection such as Influenza or COVID-19. The procedure may cause irritation of the upper airway. Drink warm fluids, monitor temperature and breathing. Discuss symptoms and testing recommended with the Pulmonologist.

A systemic infection related or not to your bronchoscopy may cause generalized soreness among many other possible causes. Report to your doc above symptoms specifically if worsening.
