Yes: Unilateral enlargement of a tonsil can rarely by a neoplasm (tumor). Vitamin c will not affect an enlargement of a tonsil. The fact that you have had a sore throat for a month is also unusual, because a viral infection usually resolves in a maximum of about 2 weeks. Time to see an ENT doctor.
