Yes : Bleeding gums is a very common cause of blood in the saliva. Brownish blood suggeststheir the blood is older than fresh bleeding which is more red. See your dentist to evaluate the periodontal condition of your mouth.

Yes: The brownish phlegm is actually blood in your saliva. You very likely a serious gum infection and need to see a dentist for a complete exam including x-rays. Please do not wait. This could be a serious problem. It is more than likely periodontitis which is a much more serious problem.

Yes: Blood mixed with saliva may look brown and one of the symptoms of gingivitis is bleeding gums.
