Non-abdominal : The hernia will be stressed most anytime you do exercise. Most all exercises require some stability from your core muscles. This will increase pressure in your abdomen will put pressure on the hernia, thus potentially increasing the size of the hernia. It's best if you have the hernia surgically repaired, then post-operatively you will be able to return to exercising.
