Take her to her Doct: If she has high blood pressure she may need treatment depending on how high the BP is and how long she has had it, if there are other coexisting conditions like smoking, high cholesterol, diabetes mellitus, obesity and heart condition she may need lifestyle modification and may need drugs to bring BP to normal.

HBP treatment: I have some questions: how old is your mom? Is she obese? Does she have diabetes? Does she exercise? Does she eat a high sodium diet or smoke? How high is her bp? You may be able to modify her weight, her salt intake and may be able to get her to exercise more and i think that she needs to see a physician to be treated if her BP is > 140 after modification after modification of her risk factors.
