BP of 120/91: At your age, a BP of 120/91 is normal. You also do not list that you are taking hbp medicine. Your mother was a bit young, at age 30, to develop hbp. Right now, all you have is a family history of hbp. I would check your BP every six months. I would be concerned if you BP is over 140 and would recommend that you start treatment . Discuss your concerns with your doctor for more information.

HBP: Your systolic blood pressure was fine but your diastolic is mildly elevated. It is usually the systolic pressure that rises due to emotional times. Speak to your doctor about this and have your BP repeated.
