Possibly: Cedar oil has a negative effect on insects because of the way it attacks. The aroma of cedar oil breathed in by an insect causes blockage of the airway and the insect cannot breathe and suffocates. This is why many research studies show the quick and high mortality rate of insects when they come in contact with cedar oil, but do not know how effective vs. Bedbugs, but you can try.

Cedar Oil Uses: While cedar oil is often used as a bug repellant, it does not necessarily remove bed bugs. In high concentrations or large amounts, it can be irritating to the skin, so if using it in or around a bed, furniture or other area that will come in contact with human skin, use the oil sparingly. Other, proven solutions exist to get rid of these critters, which i would recommend over cedar oil.
