Not really: A trigger point (trp) is a hyperirritable spot located in a skeletal muscle and/or its tendon. Clinical characteristics include the presence of a taut band and referred pain in a predictable pattern. Stretching, trigger points injection and needling are modalities to eliminate trps.

No: Magnesium is helpful, but you need to address the root cause of trigger points.. Your posture could be causing muscle imbalance. Unless root causes are addressed, trigger points will recur no matter the treatment.
