Most hospitals welcome expecting couples for tours of the facility and usually provide this option for free. Yes: It's a very good idea. Different hospitals have a different programs regarding the education for the future parents. Most of the hospitals have an educational nurse, who are making tours and showing around the nursery, neonatal intensive care and maternity units.
