Calorie log: Some of that weight gain may have occurred while you were getting your thyroid controlled. Now you will still have to get the weight off the hard way. Try counting calories and keeping a calorie log for a week so you have a better idea on how you have to change your eating habits. Low carbohydrate and low-fat diet will be beneficial along with a regular exercise program.Lots of vegetables.

Thyroid: Perhaps you need a higher dose. Some patients do better in lower half of TSH normal range. You could also have another reason for weight gain. Check fasting insulin, cortisol and igf1 levels.
