Low blood counts: I would recommend having some labs done by your doctor. They can usually tell if low B12 is the real issue.

Not necessarily: Low blood count can be due to many reasons and you should see your doctor to ascertain the cause. Common causes are iron, folate, and b12 deficiency. It could also be due to abnormal blood loss in your intestine.
