LSH and ovulation: An ovulation predictor is positive with rapid increase in lh from the pituitary gland, stimulating release of an egg from the ovary. The surge is short, so the test will often be positive for only one day. Since the ideal situation for conception is for sperm to be present in the tube, waiting for the egg, coitus soon after a positive test is suggested.
