No need now: Breast milk or formula provide balanced nutrition for infants for the first year of life. Supplements do not improve infant nutrition.50 years ago they were introduced early because people made a crude & incomplete formula from evaporated milk (great for calf's not kids).Today we use solids to introduce texture & a new feeding skill. Six months is the recommended age.
