Psychotherapy: With a good psychotherapist, you can develop healthy love for -- and confidence in -- yourself. With this, you'll be better able to sustain yourself despite others' possibly unpleasant attitudes. You might not like it, but you won't have to fear it. And you might decide to end relationships with people who treat you that way. You'll also be able to connect with healthier, more loving people!

Desensitization: Start regularly socializing with small, and i mean small groups of people you know personally in a variety of social situations, and slowly increase the number of friends.
