A member asked:

Is it a bad idea to get vaccinated if you're pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: There are several vaccines that are safe during pregnancy and there are several that are not safe. Sometimes it also depends on the risk of your exposure for that possible infection. The flu vaccine is recommended during the 2nd & 3rd trimesters. The tdap (whopping cough) vaccine is also recommended after 20wks. Ask your doctor about specific vaccines.
