Be sure to let your dentist know about this so he can evaluate your last treatment. He will evaluate what was done in your last treatment. Level of concern is possible allergy to latex as well as materials used for the procedure. Sometimes a patient can play or chew on lips after a procedure while they are still numb from the anesthetic. Medications need to be evaluated too.

It is possible you may have an allergy to latex which is the substance used in a type of dental exam gloves. You should inform your dentist as they will want to flag your chart as a possible allergy.
