Asthma: I'm not sure why you write "but" I still having a hard time breathing. That's what asthma does! If your asthma is not well controlled on your current medication, discuss a change with your prescriber as there are many formulations of varying potency.

See doctor...: If you are short of breath despite taking your prescribed asthma meds, you need to see a doctor ASAP. If your shortness of breath is severe, then go to the ER to be evaluated. Shortness of breath is a serious symptom that can be life-threatening so don't hesitate to get yourself checked out.
