Why couldn't the sonographer find my spleen on ultrasound?

Depends. : Some people do not have a spleen. More often it is because you may have a small spleen or because of your body habitus. It may be under your ribs or there may be bowel gas making it difficult. Other possibilities could be that it is a new sonographer but that is less likely.
