Healthy weight loss: A low glycemic index diet for all patients with pcos can improve fertility according to a large harvard study by dr chavarro and colleagues. He outlines this diet in his book "the fertility diet". If you are overweight, healthy weight loss may be all you need to start ovulating regularly. A supplement - inositol - may also be helpful. Please discuss this with your doctor.

Nutritional Rx: Pcos is caused by high estrogen (e2)combined with high Insulin which then transforms e2 into testosterone. Excess carbs can elevate both Insulin (via stimulation of pancreas) and e2 (via competitive inhibition of glucoronidase enzyme) a low carb diet reduces both Insulin & e2 thus positively impacting this metabolic disease. Avoid fried foods, veg oils, soy.
