Stop the cause: Liver inflammation is associated with so many things, from alcohol, to viral infections, to inherited diseases, to having diabetes. Therefore, knowing what is causing it, can then be eliminated or decreased to treat it. Is it related to alchol? Stop or decrease drinking? If you have an infection, they should be treated. Hereditary diseases are more challenging to manage.

Cause? Symptoms?: Keep a diary of ur symptoms (what you're feeling, when you feel it, & what precipitated it - what you were doing when the symptom started). In this forum, it's hard to say if there's active inflammation. Hepatitis has many causes, including viruses which often don't cause symptoms. In that case, blood tests are necessary to determine if liver damage is ongoing. Talk to your doctor or a hepatologis
