Confusing question: We have not had this vaccine available for use since the mid 1990's. It was prone to fevers, swelling, prolonged soreness and occasional seizures. It was never given after age 6 because of its harsh side effects. The currently available DTaP or TdaP are a designer product of the lab, and essentially free of most problems.
