A member asked:

How quickly does zilactin heal a cold sore?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It won't: It may moisten it, but won't cure it. Only perscription antiviral meds, topical and oral, can improve a true cold sore. And even then, the meds needs to be taken very early in the outbreak, within the first 24-48 hours to have much effect. Most cold sores last 10-14 days. Time is what is going to heal you.
