Yes: Ductal-carcinoma-in-situ, also known as intraductal carcinoma. This is a pre-cancerous condition where the cancer cells are confined to the milk duct where they arise, and do not have the ability to spread outside the breast and metastasize. Treatment is therefore directed at the breast alone:either a mastectomy or a lumpectomy (with or without radiation therapy), dependent on multiple factors.
