What is neoplasma?

"new" - "formation": Neoplasm is made up from greek words: "neo-" means "new" and "-plasm" means "formation." so a neoplasm is a new formation that shows up somewhere in your body that it isn't expected. It may be malignant, which means it's cancer, or it may be benign, which means it's not cancer. Sometimes your doc can tell by looking but usually the neoplasm will need to be removed and sent to the lab to be checked.

Tumor growth: neoplasma or neoplasm is a growth of cells either in a controlled or uncontrolled manner. The controlled lesion is a benign growth like lipoma or fibroma without invasive capability The uncontrolled lesion has more mutations in the oncogenes including overexpessed telomerase with small e-cadherin allowing for metastasis.
