Many possible causes: Have you seen a doctor to rule out thyroid problems? If so, the doctor should also have checked for anemia and other medical causes of low energy (eg, infection). In addition, you should get plenty of sleep and good nutrition, and some light to moderate exercise about 3x per week. Sometimes life circumstances lead to low energy even without depression.

Many causes: There are so many things that can cause fatigue during the day it's probably best that you discuss this with your doctor so he/she can run labs and find out exactly what's going on with you. At the very least, make sure you get plenty of sleep. Some people gets by with 6 hours but maybe you need more. Also, one of the most common cause of daytime somnolence is obstructive sleep apnea. Eval this.

A few questions : Is your lack of energy present in all settings, or is specific to work? If it is specific to work, you may have conflicts about work or you simply find it stressful and overwhelming. Do you have energy for leisure activities? If not, you may have a disorder such as dysthymia. Some people have sub-clinical thyroid levels that do not look problematic, but actually are. May need more testing.
