Unrelated: Hives 14 weeks after surgery? Likely unrelated - some new allergic reaction, so get to your doc and get checked. Good luck.

Wound infection: All surgeries carry a risk of wound infection. The risks can be lowered by a set of protocols designed to reduce risk. Hives can be associated with infections. Fortunately they are usually temporary and resolve. In the meantime antihistamines can be helpful.
