A member asked:

In terms of sugar are apples, carrots, white peaches & tomatoes good for diabetics?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Good up to a point: Fruits are natural foods and are good, up to a point. Beyond that point, the sugars and starches in fruits will cause undesirably high blood sugars. One can study the websites on diabetic diets and make a list of all the foods he likes. He has to rank them according to how much or how likely they are to raise his blood sugar. It's ok to eat more of the foods that have less effect on blood sugar.
