Does an enlarged spleen affect the other organs in my body?

Why is it enlarged: An enlarged spleen, by itself, does not influence other organs unless it is so big that it is compressing the stomach or colon (very unusual except for rare types of blood diseases). But the spleen is often enlarged because of other problems like chronic pancreatitis or liver cirrhosis, or blood problems.

Maybe: Depends on why the spleen is large- if it is secondary to liver, or other issues. Generally it is not an issue.
