Missused Word: Most bad scars are simply "hypertrophic scars" from poor healing, location, or improper closure. Keloid is a disease of healing. The definition includes the statement that the "scar exceeds the bounds of the original injury". Most common in asian and african patients. Treatment is difficult and can include; radiation, steroid injections, excision, pressure, or chemo therapy agents.
