5FU/Ken10 injections: To treat keloids, we eliminate sources of inflammation (ingrown hairs, sutures, road rash etc) and excess vascular supply with nd-yag lasers; inject affected tissue with 5 flouro-uracil (used to treat cancers) and sometimes a bit of steroid, mixed with numbing medicine-every 4 to 8 weeks until they smooth out. In between, you apply a silicon creams or patches and massage gently to break them down.
