Is it okay for my child to drink juice?

Yes: There is nothing wrong with juice as long as it is not consumed in excess. Water is always the best choice.

Yes & no: As a specific item, I no longer recommend juices for regular consumption in kids. I find the amount of fruit sugar in them troubling & prefer the real thing (apples, oranges, grapes instead of juice). I do use concentrated juices to help a kid poop, but find it sad that most parents buy into the advertising & think that juice box in the lunch keeps their kid healthy.
