Thyroid Masses: "goiters" are enlarged thyroid glands. They can be benign or actually cancerous. See your doctor for an accurate diagnosis. This sometimes involves blood tests, scans and possibly a needle biopsy. Drugs or surgeries may be indicated after the diagnosis is made.
