How can i help my child cope with fear of the dark?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Exposure: Expose him or her to the dark for short periods of time, reassure that nothing has happened, increase the intervals, eventually leaving him or her alone in the dark for short periods of time till no longer an issue...In difficult cases or if panic ensues, seek help from a behavioral psychologist.
