Move him: Physical therapy will try to make the patient functional and independent . They will help the pt. To move around, to walk if possible or to prevent decubitus ulcers from being in bed or chairs. Lack of movement causes clots and strokes which complicate pts. The goal is getting to be functional enough as before.

Home safety.: A physical therapist can help identify safety issues in the house. Are there slippery throw rugs around the house? Where's the refrigerator in relation to the sitting areas? How many steps need to be climbed in the house? And most importantly, how can we make this house safer and this person stronger to be more mobile within the home.
