Certain vitamins: Depression first of all needs a good evaluation by an experienced psychiatrist or psychologist. Sometimes psychotherapy alone can help; sometimes antidepressants are needed also. Low vitamin d levels have some correlation with depression. Some data shows that low B12 and folate can accompany depression too. While replenishing these nutrients may not cure depression by themselves, they may help.
