Try a book: The joy of flying by walt gunn is excellent and will teach how to overcome your aerophobia without medications. Dr. Gunn is a psychologist and a pilot. Good luck.

No. : It will make you less anxious when you take it right before a flight, but it won't take away your fear for good - this is something that can only occur with cognitive behavior therapy.

Xanax (alprazolam): Xanax (alprazolam) calms panic symptoms, but for fear itself, you need Behavior modification, by talking to atherapist with experience in anxiety treatment.
