A member asked:

Which blood pressure drugs cut death rate in diabetics?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

ACEI's & BB's: Angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors and their daughters, angiotensin receptor blockers as well as several of the beta blockers have been shown to reduce mortality in diabetics. Following a good diet, avoiding high glycemic index foods and getting regular aerobic exercise is your best bet though, not only to control your diabetes, but also to reduce mortality and morbidity.
