Opioid use: Co-codamol is Acetaminophen and codeine. Codeine is an opiate. Typically the path to dependence on an opioid involves ingestion of the drug with pain relief and a heightened feelings of pleasure, repeated drug use, changes in the brain, cravings and symptoms of withdrawal when drug is absent, inappropriate drug use to end withdrawal symptoms and/or to seek pleasure=drug dependence.
