Many reason: Dysphagia by definition is difficulty swallowing so all sorts of problems of the tongue, throat and esophagus can cause dysphagia. Some common reasons are neurological problems like stroke or diseases of the esophagus. For an accurate diagnosis evaluation by a physician is recommended.
