Whats the difference between a "hallucinogen" (lsd), and a "deliriant"?

Drug intoxication: Intoxication with a drug such as lsd or others causes a delirium. Delirium = temporary state of mental confusion and fluctuating consciousness characterized by disorientation, hallucinations, delusions, and incoherent speech. People do crazy things when delirious. With lsd, psychosis and hallucinations can also continue long after the acute "trip." so, lsd is one "deliriant" that may not remit.
