Colonoscopy on my son at 30 ordered due to death of his dad at 35?

Family history yes: If his father died of colon cancer at 35, he should have a colonoscopy. The guidelines recommend age 40 or 10 years younger than the first degree affected relative, whichever comes first. So technically, your son should have had a colon at 25.
