A member asked:

How does a buildup of ear wax cause dizziness?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It should not: Wax buildup will decrease the ability to hear sounds but should not cause dizziness. The dizzy sensation is usually from the semi-circular canals of the ear or from deep brainstem structures. Ear wax can easily be removed to see if the symptoms improve. Probably they will not, and other causes will need to be investigated.
