A member asked:

If your urine increases from normally 5-6 times a day to at least 20 times a day and did so all the sudden (not gradually), do you have any idea what this could be caused from? and if it could be serious?

UTI: The most common cause would be a urinary tract infection. Usually would have pain, cramping, possibly fever and abdominal pain with that. Other causes could be increased fluid intake, heart failure, kidney failure. It would be wise to visit your doctor right away and get checked out to see what is going on.

Could be: If you're urinating in large volumes, you could have diabetes, which is serious. If you're urinating frequently bit in small volumes, you could have a urinary tract infection, a urethral infection, or, if you're a man, a prostate problem.
