Premature baby: Baby would most likely survive if she was put into a leel 3 neonatal intensive care unit. She might need to be on a respirator for a while, but nowadays most babies of 31 weeks gestation do well. Your OB would likely pretreat you with medication so that your baby's lung would mature early if he/she thought that you are likely to deliver early. Would probably medicate you to delay labor.
