1of many reasons.: Lymph nodes may become enlarged due to many different reasons, of which cancer is but one explanation. The first step is to be seen by your doctor who will perform a careful breast exam and order a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound. Based upon these findings, an ultrasound-guided biopsy of one of the lymph nodes may be ordered.
