Vitreous separation: Most likely this is a vitreous separation in evolution. As you age, the vitreous jelly occupying the inner volume of the eyeball shrinks and separates from the wall of the eye. If it comes off cleanly, no symptoms except floaters may occur. If adherent, there may be flashes of light resulting from traction on the adjacent retina. An eyemd should check this asap to be sure there is no retinal tear!
