Hey docs, should one see a doctor if/when a vein pops in one's eye?

Time: Conjunctival hemorrhages are usually benign. They can be a result f eye rubbing, dry eye or just occur spontaneously. Go to your doctor if your start to develop pain, visual loss or you have easy bruising or bleeding anywhere else on your body.

Eye blood vessels: Can occasionally pop, which causes the appearance of blood covering the white of the eye. This is basically a bruise on the eye and takes 1-2 weeks to resolve. I see patients all the time for this because of its appearance, but it's typically totally harmless to the eye.
